Battle for the Boardroom description:
In order to Battle for the Boardroom you have to be a top businessman or businesswoman, to have an iron hand with which to lead your team and take over the competition.
The aim of the game is to turn the buildings in one city all to your company, meaning to send teams of people that have to deal with the existing business inside and take it over. The teams that you send are typically made up of five people, all determined and voracious business people that will not give up without a fight.
The buildings in the city are either owned by you, by your competing business or by neutral people. You have to send business people over to a building to try to gain control over it. Depending on the number of people inside a building, you have to send that specific number plus five more each time, if you want to consider the building yours.
The catch is that your opponent is doing the same thing and adopting the same strategy, which means that you are constantly battling to take over. Your headquarters building, as well as all the other buildings that you manage to turn to your side are generating one business person every two seconds, which means that your team is constantly getting bigger.
However, if the opponent manages to get to your buildings and turn them around, you will lose the people you invested time and money in and you will have to start again. The aim of the game is to eventually take over the opponent’s headquarter, but that is difficult to achieve by just sending people over from the very beginning. Normally you should try to grow progressively closer to that building and when you feel you have enough people to take over, send them to perform the job.
Once you manage to control a large part of the city, you will see it becomes a lot easier to control other buildings as well. That is because you are constantly getting stronger and a large number of people working for you are more difficult to beat than a smaller number.
The whole point is to be able to take over before your opponent manages to do it. The strategy that you want to adopt is completely up to you, but it is typically a lot easier to start with smaller buildings that are closer to you than to go straight to the headquarter building.
